The Promise of Potential

If you’re anything like me, then you are quite well acquainted with at least some of your flaws and weaknesses. And if so, they probably frustrate you and gnaw at the back of your mind constantly forcing you to wonder if you’ll ever be able to move past them and become that person you really want to be, right? I feel you. That’s why I enjoy anime. (Ha! Didn’t see that coming, did you?) It has a peculiar way of reminding me that even though I’m not nearly who I want to be, I can still become much better than I am.

In Bleach, the main character Ichigo seems to constantly get beat up badly and lose fights. And in these two videos he goes from nearly being beat senseless by one of the main villain’s weakest subordinates:

Needless to say, I hope that when I get to the end of my life I can  see this type of growth. It’s nerdy, I know, but maybe you can relate to it a little bit yourself. Everyone’s a nerd for something! ^_^
